JOKER FANS UNITE!
WARNING: Post contains small ME2 spoilers and long ramble is long!
Are you a Joker fan? Are you sick of having playing as a female and always getting hit on by either a) aliens or b) under-developed and somewhat melo-dramatic human males or c) your secretary? Do you want something that actual MEANS something? Do you want a romance option (or hell just dialogue) that has life, personality and a badass sense of humor? Are you tired of hearing he should only be with the damnable AI? (Even though the AI is still pretty damn badass!) Then fangirls, geeks and Joker-holics, we MUST UNITE!
We must band together if we want our voices to be heard! (Hell it would just be nice for the devs to at least hear us out) It's up to us if we ever hope to accomplish this feat!
Our Shepard's deserve a flyboy, someone who isn't afraid to bat around the bush and who believes in us no matter what! Don't think Joker would make a good romance option? Why don't you just take a look at this list here to see why he WOULD!

JOKER LIST OF AWESOMENESS

1. Personality - He's got one and it's amazing! Kaidan was a nice guy but he lacked...so much. Joker's a firecracker, he's not afraid to call bullshit and will tell you his honest opinion and he's not shy about it.
2. Trust - There's a huge amount of trust between Shepard and Joker, they've been through hell and back, hell your Shepard DIES for him! Your Shepard has already trusted Joker with her life more times than one in the first Mass Effect, and that trust is definitely deepened in the 2nd, so much that he throws himself into unnecessary danger to make sure you get your ass back onto the Normandy!
3. Pilot - We all know pilots are sexy. Come on! Atton Rand, Carth Onasai (if your into that sort of...thing.) and lest we forget, the most amazing pilot EVER; HAN FEKKIN SOLO. Time and time again romances with pilots have been shown as the most awesome of romances as pilots tend to be some very passionate men in sci fi! If Leia can have Han, Exile can get Atton, Revan and Carth...why the hell can't it be Shepard and Joker?
4. Romance and Vrolik's Syndrome - Yeah, I do know that Joker has brittle bones and that a fall can break a leg and it's easy for him to get fractures. What people fail to realize is that it's not impossible to...love someone physically. For starters, people this is sci fi, if you can bone an alien with a weak immune system that can die from a kiss, you can have sexy time with a guy with BB! You see him RUN around on the ship and nearly throw himself out of the airlock with a freakin' assault riffle! I think he's capable of doing the deed (this is if you think the only good thing about a romance is the sexy time scene, in which case your very sad...)
5. Humor - With Joker's personality and sense of humor and Seth Green's awesome job of voicing the pilot...could you IMAGINE the romantic banter?
We would be treated to one of the most fiery romances possible, spicy dialogue and constant smartass retorts. <3
6. Human relations - Don't get me wrong, I think the male alien romance choices for your lady Shep are quite entertaining! But is it sad that male Shepard gets like four billion relationships with those of your own species? This makes me sad, as I can't stand Asari and I kinda would like my Shepard to be with someone...she's kinda...y'know, more physically compatible with. (God...as much as I loved the Garrus romance, thinking about how that went down makes my brain want to explode...) More human male romance options would be awesome! I feel like sometimes my Shepard is crazy into inter-species stuff...and it's...weird...

So...there are too many people out there that either think that it's wrong to want an option with Joker because he has Vrolik's Syndrome (nice skewed logic there, as most of these people fought to get a Tali romance and we know how that went), or think he's only capable of loving a machine...lolwut?
Yes, EDI is awesome, if anyone's going to romance the ship it's going t be me because that ship is damned sexy! But...really guys? Sure, the poking and prodding of Joker flirting with EDI is lulzy, but it doesn't mean he wouldn't, you know, be into having a relationship with an actual human being. He loves the ship, yes, why? Because it's the only place he's ever felt at home, the only place he's ever felt truly accepted and useful. I'd be damned attached to my ship as well! (And I am.)
Think about it! Joker pretty much gets ditched by the Alliance for being the reason why Shepard dies, so he joins Cerberus because they'll let him 'fly'. He could have his pick of a dozen different pilot positions for private corporations and get offered quite a bit of money. But instead he chooses Cerberus. Keep in mind they didn't tell him about the new SR-2 until the night before he sees Shepard. He has more reason to join than that. Yes, I know that there's a chance he joined when he found out about Shepard because Joker felt he owed her, but really, you think that would be the only reason? Joker and Shepard have developed a lot of trust and have a pretty good friendship (unless you were a total dick to him...thus, shame on you!).
He's pretty much the only person who has stood by Shepard no matter her choices, his trust pretty much unwavering. Hell, not even your LOVE INTEREST does that! ('cept Liara...if your into that sort of thing, and Garrus and Tali too) Now I come to my Garrus argument! How many people wanted to romance Garrus because he was so well written? He became one of Shepard's good friends, someone that she could trust. If you romance Garrus, you tell him that you only want to be with someone that you trust. Isn't this how we got Garrus? Despite him being an alien with very, very, very, very physiology than our own, people still wanted to romance him because his character was so in-depth! Jeff is the same and I for one, want someone who's going to have my back no matter what and who's been with me since the beginning! Kaidan's trust waivers when he sees you on Horizon and he yells at you and refuses to hear you out, though I can understand why, it still...argh.
Y'know, I would be happy with just a bit of dialogue between Joker and Shepard, I'd love to be able to have my Shepard let Joker know that she's always appreciated him and that she trusts him more than anyone and she's glad she made the choice to save his ass and die in the process and if she could do it all over again she would! I'd also like to be able to let him know that the Normandy isn't just Joker's home, it's hers too and wherever he and the Normandy is, she will be too.
Is that really so much to ask? I think not!
So Joker lovers! Get out there and start showing your support! Keep any pro-Joker romance threads alive, voice your opinion even if people combat you! It's how they got Garrus/Tali, maybe if we try hard enough we might be able to as well, even just something small! Let's try to get our pilot loving Shepards the happy ending they deserve!
On a side note, I'm totally going to do a Joker meme when I'm done doing the Massive Mass Effect 2 meme! xD
