I had another thought about this icon and so I did another drabble. Both drabbles are (obviously) un beta-ed because I didn't want to waste my beta's time with such nonsense. :-) so all mistakes are mine. ;-)

Anyway this is what I came up with.
Title : Not Tellin'.
She turned to walk away from him, her stride strong, back painfully straight. Perfect solider. His heart broke for hers. He wished he could undo this one thing. Grab time as if it were a tangible thing, hold it down and force it to give back what could never be returned. Husband: the one thing in the verse that could give her back the joy she’d lost. She hurt, bad. The feel of it coming off in waves. Washing over, sinking into the dampening cloth of his guilt, weighing him down. He wanted to apologize, but she’d never let him.
