I love it! You've hit all my fav kinks with this pairing. Amelia's confusion about what he is. If he's an it then she can put some emotional distance between them because he's something else.
He kissed her back! He thought he was doing what she wanted but he did't have to. He's just as confused as she is.

Dude since that kiss I've been wanting Cas to mention Amelia or something! I can picture him kissing her like that. They're early/mid thirties. They must have been together from a young age, judging from the age of their daughter.
It's the only episode I've got! I wanted Amelia to interact with Castiel so badly. It's such an untapped story. I heard Misha is returning to the show but maybe not as Castiel so fingers crossed for Jimmy.

Since that episodes I have been interested in what would have happened if Cas took Claire. I don't think the brothers would be so fond of him then.

It would be interesting. The moral implications aside it would be so much harder for Castiel to actually do anything if he looked like a kid. Can you imagine what Amelia would do if both her family members got used as vessels?
I don't know if they changed the story or if it was intentionally fake but the Rapture was originally about Claire being possessed by an angel and Amelia needed the boys help. They had different surnames to.
