of movies and comics.
i would like to take a minuet or two of your time to discuss a few things...
first and foremost is the movie Inception. this movie is absolutely amazing!!! it delivers beautifully on all fronts. for those of you unaware, this is a film staring Leonardo Dicaprio and his team of memory thieves who create dreamlike worlds and in order to steal a marks deepest secrets. however Decaprio is hired to, rather then steal an secret, implant an idea in someones head. Decaprio sets out to assemble a team of specialists to aid him in his task including Ellen Page who's job it is to actually create the dream environment. the plot evolves from there, and becomes an elegant tapestry of twists and turns that i will not unravel for you here. imagine something like Ocean's 11 meets the matrix, yet that combination yields something totally unexpected. given the fact that every movie that has come out has been for kids and tweens, and anything for a more... developed audiences has just been a sad attempt at entertainment, this movie is just the breath of fresh air that i needed. i give this movie a "for lack of a better word, perfect" out of 10.
as fantastic at Inception was i am completely psyched about Scott Pilgrim coming out on August 13 (the day before my birth day :D). i am sure you are all sick to death of me talking about Scott Pilgrim this and Scott Pilgrim that, but i cant help it the comics are quickly becoming (if they are not already) my favorite comic series of all time. if you are a fan of comics and haven't taken a look at this series i highly recommend checking it out. the final comic in the series goes on sale tomorrow and i can't wait to pick it up after work. i haven't looked forward to a finale this much since lost... but lets not talk about that. i leave you with yet another movie trailer for the Scott Pilgrim movie XD.
