In case you live under a rock in a pocket dimension and just poked your head out to sightsee, John Scalzi (writer of* Old Man's War, The Ghost Brigades and most recently, The Android's Dream) has put up the sequel to Ghost Brigades/prequel to The Last Colony in audio form (nine mp3 chapters, all told) at The Whatever. Drinks up, folks, it's good!
As if this wasn't already nifty enough, he had various scifi luminaries of the female persuasion do the narrating. Most notable were Elizabeth Bear in the "Killing" chapter, Cherie Priest in "Sex" (oh my ...) and Mary Robinette Kawal in "Endings".
I ... I'm trying to think a stylish writerly way to end this and failing. Posting on the internet and college essays tend to result in a content-over-style ... style. Disgraceful.
