Not quite ready to review Elizabeth Bear's Carnival yet (that's going to require at least a third reading) but I will say this - have I said this before - I'm not sure I've seen any other writer who so consistently and overtly gets better from one book to the next.
Also? Greenpeace AIs ate all the white people (and telephone sanitizers, I assume) and shat out enough biomass to start repairs on the ecosystem. That's the setting, what's not to like?
Even more also? That Undertow preview? Hoo-boy, can't wait!
