For further evidence of Eywa's deviousness, I refer you to the singular fact that all the animals - predators included! - have the organic USB dongles sticking out of their heads. Why would they need those if not for command and control, coordination and status reports from their ecological administrator, who just so happens to be their ecology as well?

Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out the Na'Vi religion/culture turned out to be Eywa's take on the Missonaria Protectiva?
