Reporting In
The Lovely Carly had her bachelorette party last night and a second bridal shower this afternoon (the first one was a small one from my family, today its her much larger family). This means for most of today I am home alone and can watch DVDs that normally she'd have no interest in on my big plasma screen TV. What did I go with this morning? Star Trek Insurrection, AKA the Next Gen movie I'd never seen that was supposedly Not Very Good.
Actually, I rather enjoyed it. It's more like an above average extra-long episode of the TV show, but I think the real issue is its a real let-down after the far superior First Contact, because, ya know, the Sommo are not the Borg. They aren't even the Klingons. But the movie itself was a decent adventure with some nice plot twists, wasn't too long, and its not the next one, so it had that going for it.
