Icarus Line Tour '03
dear hot chicks,
fuck.
The Captain just called me and said "pack your bags, you're coming on tour with us."
The Icarus Line are starting their west coast tour with the YeahYeahYeahs tonight, and I would go as merch guy. again.
It's 2 nights in SanFrancisco, then off to Portland, followed by Seattle. which is perfect since i'd be back on saturday, and i'm on spring break this week.
I could see my friend Clara in Portland. She used to live with me, if you recall.

here's a pic from the last time i went on tour with those maniacs (as taken from bh.com)
judging from my haircut, my clothing, and my selection of brew, not much has changed since 2001. oh wait, i got old.
I could see my old friend Alex, who lives in Seattle. I haven't seen him since he got hit by a car and almost died.
I would get free hotels, beer, meals, transportation, AND i'd get paid my per diem which is about $1500 a day. uh, i mean $15.00.
so basically, a free trip to cities I've never seen ('cept SF), crazy tour antics, get to see old friends, free drugs and shows, AND i could film the whole thing for my final project at school.
i'm not going.
i have a japanese test the monday i get back from school that i really have to study for. though i could easily study on the sunday i'm back.
i have to read a book on existential meaning this week, which i could read on the drive between cities.
i have to shoot for my final film project, though that was already discussed above.
and most importantly, it's my girlfriends birthday on thursday, and i couldn't miss that.
so i thought i'd tell you all about it because i'm bummed out that i can't go. cheer me up.
