the awesomest kids
This morning I was lying in bed, listening to the kids playing in their room. Max had pulled out several anatomy books (he has loved anatomy since around age 2) and was showing Khai pictures of blood cells. "LOOK at these! They make up your TISSUE!!! And that tissue? Makes up your BODY." Khai mostly just wanted to look at the pictures of the eyeball, because it is "the awesomest."
Soon thereafter, Khai put together a fort with some sheets and a chair or two. Max was impressed, but Khai said he could only come in if he paid three pieces of money. The amazing part? Max went for it -- and spent five minutes or so looking for his piggy bank. He shook out the required payment and then entered the fort. "Wow. This is pretty cool, Khai." Yeah, said Khai. I know.
