an all-time low for my blood pressure

It's only Tuesday, and already it has been quite a week. Can we declare tomorrow to be Saturday?

Yesterday, I got my hair cut -- between 8-10 inches of hair, gone! I had actually planned to get it cut really short (like the picture I posted), but the hairstylist said that because my hair is so fine it would be hard to keep it from going flat even with a lot of product. So I went with a bob instead. I may go back in and have her add some more texture... not sure yet, I'm still getting used to it. It feels so much lighter.

Oh, and we ordered kitchen cabinets, flooring, and the countertop! FINALLY. And we didn't even argue about it, which had become a tradition in our kitchen remodel discussions. I'm so glad to have the remodel underway at long last.

That brings me to today. Today was just not pleasant at all. I had to get a tooth pulled, and on the awful experiences scale, it was right up there with the spinal tap I had a few years ago. The nitrous? Couldn't even tell it was there. Bleehh. I won't go into details, but it was just really, really, really awful. Eventually I will be getting an implant to replace the tooth-- it was supposed to be a root canal and crown, but they found that I'd need crown lengthening. That would not only have added another $1k to the price tag, but also lowers the success rate of the root canal by about 20%. So, in exploring all of the options, I decided on an implant. Fortunately, it's a tooth toward the back of my mouth, so it won't show. :) On the bright side, this stage is done, and within six months or so, I will be able to chew without pain! Seriously, it had gotten so bad that eating rice was painful.

The kids have been so careful and gentle with me. They're so sweet. Josh has been taking care of all of us, and I'm so glad he could be here. I kind of feel like I've been hit by a bus. It hurts.

Khai turns four next week. School ends on May 23. Time is zoooooooooming by.
