the sunsets were purple and red and yellow and on fire

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind; there's no sign of stillness in the near future, but that's all right. I've still got family in town, so while missing Josh terribly, at least I'm not feeling quite as isolated.

Does this mean I need to get a life? I get chills every time I see a preview for Battlestar Galactica. The new season starts on October 6... I've been waiting impatiently since the last season ended. I LOVE THIS SHOW. A post on metafilter pointed me to webisodes available for download on SciFi.com; there will be two per week until the 6th. Yaaay! And to further solidify my geekitude? Joss Whedon's take on Battlestar: ...I think it's so passionate, textured, complex, subversive and challenging that it dwarfs everything on TV. Or in theaters. Or boho perfomances spaces. Stuff hanging in the Tate? Not as cool. I'm not gonna go on, because I have to get back to work and because if I really start, this post will crash the internet from sheer length.

Also downloaded this week: a 55-minute podcast from The Orb with remixes of everything from Little Fluffy Clouds to Freebird. Strangeness abound, but I like it.

What are you listening to lately?

I have a new digital camera. Evidence soon.

Happy weekend, everybody. Hug the ones you love.... and then hug them some more.
