That must indicate too much going on.
This 40+ hours a week on a regular basis is beginning to get frustrating. Yay for the paychecks, but I'd really like a regular job now, please?
I guess the other reason I've not updated lately is that nothing seems to be happening. I work, I do a bit (a very small bit) of painting, and I sleep. There's nothing exciting in my life that I want to share, and I really am trying to get out of the habit of posting blogs and whining all the time. And I know you're all sick of hearing how is coming along.
So, some thoughts.
* I'm enjoying the ongoing Mordheim campaign, though I have worries that it's not going to hold together for much longer. It's great to just have fun games with some slight point to them. It's fun to yell WAAAAAGH! at people and grin when they stare at me like I'm crazy. And it's fun to hang out with those people, because I don't see enough of them anymore.
* We got rain last night (and again this morning) to break a 43-day dry spell. Hopefully we'll get hit with a hurricane next week, and gets lots and lots of it. I could use some flooding. Plus, I'd get to see how the drainage out back will handle it now that we've relandscaped.
* It has been six months since I've had Mountain Dew. I know a lot of you out there are shocked at that, but I really think I've broken myself of it. Now, what I'm going to do with the 4 2-litre bottles of vintage Livewire and Pitch Black I have stored, I'm not sure... maybe eBay?
* I find myself wanting to get hold of some of my old HS and college friends - Katie, Anya, Andrew M, Tarek, the Saters, Loren, Eugene, and Erin. If anyone's got contact info for 'em, let me know please...
* I start rehearsals for the Christmas show in two weeks. This year, I'm stage managing, assistand directing, and doing three minor roles. Oh yea, and building the set. The trade-off is that I'm 90% positive that I'm dropping the passion play - being in rehearsals for 9 months out of the year is really time-consuming for me, and I can't keep doing that and all my work with the Knights.
* I wrote a new D&D-styled area for Grimne. It features ogres, landsharks (bulettes), gelatinous cubes, and mimics. Oh, and Stabber. It goes live next boot (Monday or Tuesday) and should be a stitch. I'm taking a couple of weeks off from coding there, due to burnout.
