Weekend update!

Weekend was good, if busy.
Friday was phone conversations with the Rey Feo clients, trying to walk through the project. They were supposed to call me back and set up a meeting with me, but never did. Hrmf. Called them today, and was told they'd call me back. It's frustrating to give a timeline and then be shafted on it from the get-go. Luckly, my bid included a timeframe based on them handing me the information as Day 1 - so this won't put me behind schedule. It's just frustrating.
Saturday was nuts. In the AM, went out with Brad and bought a hammock for Dad. Hit goodwill (he needed crap) and hung out there. Then grabbed Mom and Laura, and we went on a tour of the Spurs locker room in the SBC center (pics to follow when I have time to upload them). Suffice it to say, it was great. I'm jealous of the 9' showerheads they have, but really just was glad to get to see it all.
After that, I had to dash over to church for reading/serving. I'd tried to trade it off so that I could a) go over to Sarah's instead and play Mordheim, and b) Not have to stress out over scheduling. It didn't happen, though. Church was nice but laid-back, as most of the evening masses are. Our pianist was back this week (she's been gone for a few months with very serious illness), so I was glad to see her again.
Sunday was Father's Day. Got up, made the big breakfast fry-up, and did that sort of thing. Hung out, talked, and just enjoyed time with Dad. Laura came over and joined us. I taught Brad how to do steaks, while Dad watched. I've missed grilling, it's something I'm going to have to do much more often, I think. Steaks came out great, but I think I undercooked the vegetable shish-kebabs a bit. Not a lot, but just enough that the onions were a little too tough.
During/after dinner, it was Game 5 of the Spurs run to the championship! An amazing game, and finally the classic I'd looked for from these two teams. It was good enough that I stayed up until 2:30 to watch the replay on ESPN. The only disappointment was the lack of a George Matthews victory IM in the middle of the night. Maybe I should send him oen today, just for old time's sake.
Today, I've been busy with work, but have decided to take off the afternoon early to run errands. I have plans!!!! And not all of them are evil....
