Hello Old Friend
It's been a while since I was here. Like many, I was sucked into the land of FaceBook and as more and more mates used FB and less and less mates used LJ, FB became the place to stay in contact with people geographically distant, but still close to my heart.
But FB has become littered with advertising and is intrusive. It's become a place for quantity not quality. Posts have become a thing of brief mentions rather than well explored thoughts.
I've missed you LJ. Coming back to you today feels like I'm putting on an old, soft jumper that I've had in a box for too long.
One feature I will miss is the ability to "tag" people, but I think it's a small price to pay for privacy, control over my online identity and managing the time I spend in an online blog.
I hope that my mates that once had an LJ Account will join me in my exodus.
