Work post?
It was mentioned that I don't post much about work. Most of the time things are cool enough that it wouldn't be very interesting. They pissed me off today, though.
I'm sure I've mentioned in the past that I do things that aren't in my job description. Also that a job description listing what I actually do would probably get me considerably more money. That job is basically computer programming.
The kicker today was that my big boss was upset that I hadn't gotten some programming stuff done on time. The reason it wasn't done when he wanted it was that I was busy doing my primary job. The big boss made a promise to the school's president that some IT related thing would be done & it was up to me to do it. So of course, I made the stuff promised to the president my top priority. Was I wrong? Somehow I don't think so.
It was my supervisor that decided to talk to me about the programming stuff not being done & I explained my side of things. Despite the asshole he tends to be, he actually seemed to get it.
