Woah.
I haven't posted here in FOREVER.
That being said, since Michii started posting on her journal again I decided I would too. It's something I kept thinking "I should...." but always got overtaken by my sheer laziness.
Sooooo my first post in forever, will be a short summary of my last trip to Walt Disney World with some of my most beloved friends.
I know very few Disney freaks...VERY few. One of them I met by chance at work (Best Buy). He was asking questions about Disney movies and no one could answer him.Having happened to overhear I ran back there, shoved the other employee out of the way and said...
"May I help you sir?"
Within 15 minutes we were giggling and plotting a trip to Disney World. After giving me hair advice (he's like, a straight gay man, if that makes sense) we exchanged MSN addies and it was history in the making. Ohmygosh, we love Dinosaurs.
Shaun is enrolled in the military, and he and some of his buddie are leaving at the beginning of next month. We took one last trip together and went to their favorite parks, as well as celebrated may birthday (Shaun insisted because he had a gift for me).
The day consisted of much Epcot, including Test Track, and Soarin', world pavilions...etc.
When we went on Mission Space one of Shaun's buddies was apprehensive for his girlfriend. He's like "oh she doesn't handle spinning well". Shaun and I were like
"pfft, pish posh! She'll be fine...."
Mission Space is the only ride in all of Walt Disney World to have barf bags inside....
Needless to say, we utilized one and the poor girl had to buy a new pair of pants because it didn't all land inside the bag. Thankfully my seat was all the way at the other end.
Around 2 o'clock we park hopped to Animal Kingdom. There Shaun and I immediately ran to Dinosaur because the stand by time was only 15 minutes. Did I mention we love Dinosaurs? We rode it 3 times in a row.
After we were done with that we were all sort of tired, sweaty, and a bit cranky. I suggested we go on Kali River Rapids to cool off. I have a history on that ride...
No matter what seat I sit in, it will be the one to get soaked. Shaun knew this, he made his bud sit with me....we giggled quietly to ourselves. See, I've grown to accept and embrace this fact. Sure enough, within minutes of the raft leaving the dock, I was soaked. Afterwards when we told his friend, we both got smacked. Ah, it sure was worth it though.
Now soaked, Shaun and I ran to Dinosaur once more. The cast members gave me a Dino sticker. hahahaha and we got them to sing Happy Birthday (like I said, official early birthday celebration day).
Towards the end of the night, the line for Expedition Everest finally died down. We rode it a couple of times, so many time that even though we requested the front row, the cast member jokingly punished us by making us sit in the back. Rumbly, rumbly times.
As usual, we ate at our favorite place Yak and Yeti. We walked around the park a bit towards closing and snapped some cool pictures. Good times. I will miss the boys.
