LOL. Yeah. The parts of Jersey you showed me were not to bad. Well except for that one area near Newark on the way to your friends house when we were on the expressway. But it would be an ok state to live in if it didn't get like 25 feet of snow a year. hehe ;)
We actually had a good winter for Charlie's first winter here..We only had 1 really bad storm...I consider a bad storm to be one with more than 12 inches of snow. (or one that requires me to dig my car out)
Yes but where Ben is from and where we would live if I got into PhD school it doesn't do much. On average I would say they get 5" or less in the valley and Portland areas. The mountains get a lot more. When you go to Oregon year round you will hear on the weather/news reports where the "snow level" is. Mt. Hood and some of the other volcano's stay snow capped year round. That is why I love it so much there. Year round from the Portland/Salem/Corvallis/and Eugene areas you can go 45 mins west and you are at the beach or go an hour east and you get to snow covered mountains.
