Huskies, Devils, and Happy Birthday to me!
Well, it started Tuesday. I was supposed to go down to Atlantic City with a group of friends to celebrate a Triple Birthday (Mine, Dan's, and his g/f Riss).
Unfortunately, my mate got sick and went to the ER...(she's ok and was released 3 hours after she got there), instead of having her drag herself down to AC I opted to cancel our plans, eat dinner at my parents' house (mom made homemade vodka rigatoni!!!), go home, watch a movie and cuddle. Before we left for home, I got engrossed in the last 3 minutes of the Devils/Carolina game. WOW WHAT A GAME!! The Devils won in a shoot-out!
Now onto yesterday (err...uh Wed. the 8th):
Woke up around noonish, took in some nice phone calls and text message from friends wishing me a happy birthday. My mate took me shopping and got some nifty stuff.
Then went to my parents' house for dinner. My mate handed me a card and it had..... HOLY CRAP!! Damn near front row seats to this Sat.'s DEVILS GAME against Florida!!! What a surprise!!
My parents took us to the Rainforest Cafe (one of my favs!) for a great dinner, alcohol, and a VOLCANO (you would have to go to a R. Cafe to know what Im talking about).
On our way out, very full and slightly buzzed, my mate and my parents got me a t-shirt (nifty tribal), and a SWEET (and very big) Christmas Husky plush!!! He even has a christmas scarf around his neck!
All in all, even though Tuesday night's plans got washed....it was a cool birthday...THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
