More updates and stuff... Tactical Medic Certification

May 27, 2005 02:53

Whoa, a 3rd post in a week?! What the hell is happening to me?

Anyways, as I sit here in Mercer County 911 Communications Center...doing nothing because no one is dialing 911... I figured Id let you all know what is to be happening with me in the next few months.

I will shipping off to school! Again!!

Yours truly, along with a bunch of friends, will be enrolled in the 2005 Tactical Medic Program in the East Brunswick Police Academy. We will be training with the SWAT Team in the following:

1) Room Clearing and Containing Operations
2) Weapons (Lethal and Less-Lethal) (safety, usage, disarming, arming, and cleaning)
3) Emergency Basic K9 First Aid
4) Team Operations
5) Gun Shot Wounds, Traumatic Injury, and Downed-Team Member Rescue
6) Live IV Access in a sensory overload situation (darkness, smoke, etc.)
7) Helicopter Medicine and Operations
8) Self Defense Techniques

All of this will be under what they call a "Sensory Overload" situation. This is gonna be awesome as hell. When we are done we will be the elite EMT-T (Tactical) ranking. Once certified we will be working in close with local SWAT Teams as they fight the bad guys as "Team Medics". We will be adourned with all the same stuff... ballistics gear, guns, and other goodies.

And our shirts, patches, and stickers are awesome! Instead of the typical star of life with the snake and staff.... its the star of life with a snake wrapped around an AK-47!! FUCKING HOT!!

I can say two words about this... Adrenaline Overload!!

I am psyched! We are all psyched!!

Wish us luck!!

And I shall leave you with this...

Naaah na na naaaaaah.... na na naaaaaaaah.... na na naaaaaaaah
