The Bourne Ultimatum
[

]

So let me start by saying I saw Bourne Identity when it first came out, I saw it once before it came out and the again during the wide release. I loved it, I also enjoyed The Bourne Supremacy 100 times more. What with the boost in action and what not, it was fantastic. My only complaint was the constant use of shaky cam, it drove me nuts.

So here we are, number 3, the closer. it was enjoyable. I really did like it, I saw it very late at night though which may not have been a good idea but I still enjoyed it, not so much the start, but it picks up and closes quite nicely.

The film starts off slightly slower, less action, more dialogue (a bit like the first), so I got a smidge tired (Seeing as how it is 12:45 am), but as soon as it picked up I got right into it. The film continues almost exactly where it left off with a wounded Jason Bourne evading some cops. He ends up crossing paths with CIA in a quest to find out who he really is and that is when the trouble begins. There is some new clown on the case over at the CIA who wants to take care of it once and for all, and he is a total 100% tool about it. Pamela Landy returns, as does Julia Stiles as Ms. Parsons to help track down Jason once again.

As far as the action goes the chasing, the jumping through windows, and the fighting with books (the only time I really got annoyed with the shaky cam), were all great. But compared to Supremacy it seemed a smidge cut back.

Jason still has those sweet creepy "i see you" quotes, and the film ends on a great note, not sure what it implies if it in fact was a hint towards anything, but I felt the film closed off nicely and I enjoyed it. I don't want to give a lot away since it is partly mysterious. I can say though I disagree with it being the strongest of all three (like everyone else claims), I think two was the best part of the story, but even so, the film is great and should totally be seen, especially over the Simpsons movie.

So there you are Jason, I was going to give you 3.5 stars, since I am a hard-ass but I'll be nice and toss you 4 out of 5.

What comes next as far as movies? Rush Hour 3 is out this weekend, I still want to check out Hot Rod, and then the 17th is SUPERBAD!
