I don't see any reason to boycott valentines day since it's a made-up holiday with a loose basis in heathen tradition and I am easily amused by commercialism sucking the souls from idiots.
Sure there's a St. Valentine, as much as there is a St. Nikolaus (Santa Claus). All traditions come from somewhere, the pagan ones probably had roots in somewhere else as well. Its gets better though, in Finland they adopted the day as "friends' day" so you would need to send a card to all of your friends! The post offices were happy.. and I guess people too.. I dunno.. for me it's carnival time and no Valentine's in here.
I don't get it. You're pretty, smart, funny, healthy, stable, probably a great conversationalist and I know you like men. So what's the deal? Why are you single? Is your idea of romance out of reach for most men?
Ok, that makes more sence then my romantic comment. Do you know what you want? Do you even care if you find what you are looking for in a man? I mean, is your ideal man a priority?
