I just booked my yearly ... girly bits exam, and they're putting me in for a full physical as well. "Would you like a full physical at the same time?" "Um. I've never had a full exam." Apparently it's height and weight, that sort of thing, lol I don't know why I've never had that measured before. Not that I couldn't tell you my height, and what my weight has been every year for the past 10...
In other news, remember my Grandpa was diagnosed with prostate cancer but they decided at his age not to treat it? They must have changed their mind because I just got an email from Mom yesterday saying that "Grandpa had had his prostate surgery and was now in his room and doing well". I feel so out of the loop sometimes.
Also, my horse... is not doing well. In August she suddenly became ill, stopped eating, and lost a couple hundred pounds; she miraculously turned around and started eating again and was almost back to full weight by the time I saw her in October but mom emailed this morning to say she'd made a turn for the worse again and that the vet is coming out this morning. I'm going to call mom tonight; I really hope that this isn't the end of the line, but for a horse who's 30 years old there's not a lot of time left y'know? It sucks. But I'm glad I got to see her and feed her carrots in October. Geez, to think at the time she looked well enough to possibly hop on her back.
My coworker/upstairs neighbor Sabrina and her husband moved back to Quebec on Wednesday; they left me their huge comfy amazing L-shaped couch to try and sell for them (they want $1200 for it, otherwise I would buy it myself... heck I still could but I'd have to sell it next year anyways) and they gave me Guitar Hero 3 for free, awesome!
It sucks that everybody's moved away. It's a bit lonely here. But I have a great crew at work and other than feeling overwhelmed with paperwork some days, I'm enjoying my manager position so I really can't complain. This year's staff party on the 5th will be at a bowling alley that just happens to have a pub attached, and drinks all night are free. Sweeeet. Not that I can drink that much anymore... I remember going through a bottle of SoCo and barely slurring... age it seems has caught up with me and I just can't do that anymore, plus I get hangovers now if I try (never had a hangover before, not even on the night I almost died).
Anyways. Work time. Bye.
OH. If anybody would like me to send a Yule/Christmas card, leave me your address in the comments. Comments are screened for this entry.
