I’m about ten pages to finish In cold blood, by Truman Capote. It’s such an amazing novel. I’ve known that this book is a must for the reporters and/or journalist. This book combines the artistic with the documental, real story behind the fiction.

The irony of my adventure with this novel is that, in real life -as you can clearly read on the book- the two assassins died on May 13th, 1960. That means today, 48 years ago(I wrote this last night XD). Last night (that means, the night before last night XD) I stopped the reading when I got to this sentence. Damn creepy.

But I am like a curious cat, so, as soon as I finish the book, I’m going to search the real images of the characters. Dick and Perry, and the four people, the family that was kill in cold blood one night in 1959, in some farm in the US.

I think you should read this book. I delayed the reading like ten years till two weeks ago. Now I want to watch a few movies about the same subject, so my next target involving Capote is some movies and, of course, other books from the man (I’m not pretty sure about Breakfast at Tiffany’s XD) Blah blah, we’ll see, we’ll see…

Talking about real literature, nowadays I’m reading Conrad. I know, Conrad-kun is now a sort of semi god to me. This is his first novel: The madness of Almayer. He made it in 1889. If you like movies, you ought to know that Apocalypses now is one of the major movies of all times, and was well adapted from the Heart in darkness by Conrad.  If you don’t know the movie or the book, you’ve been living inside a cave all your intellectual life XDDD

I’m keeping the reading of La historia del rey transparente by Rosa Montero, my personal goddess. She’s great. Don’t talk about J.K. Rowling, c’mon!!! You better read Temblor and then tell me that Harry Potter is a good book. Pfff!!! This lady can draw a perfect atmosphere with few words, no need to use big, pompous words, no need to create strange, obscure characters like many bad writers nowadays. Montero can take your mind into any place and time with simple words, but spectacular views. That’s art.

I went to see Iron man. The dubbing was SUBLIME. Especially because of Roberto Mendiola, who played the scientist that keeps the hero alive while is kidnapped. As soon as I heard him I knew that the movie worth the money XD seriously, this is a good example of a well adapted comic book. I loved Batman begins, also TMNT, but I hated Hulk, the old Batman… those were bad stuff mainly because of the stupid script. But Ironman have almost everything. Nice work. I’m looking forward for the Ironman 2,3,4,5 and maybe 6.

Ah, and I have the Indy trilogy. Kokoro, don’t hate me please! I promise I will watch them all before the last adventure at your near cinema. But, frankly, I’m not sure if I want to watch it on my near cinema. But oh, if somebody tells me that Roberto Mendiola will be there dubbing some interesting character (even if it’s not that interesting) I’ll be there XDDD ß fangirl.

Our next target is The sexy prince Caspian. Yeah, Narnia was ok but who cares? I’ll be there just because I’m a perv and that bishonen is beautiful and there’s plenty of bishonen and no women around. Oh, may Zeus bless fan service!

In two weeks I’ll be having fun at Jalisco, the land of mariachi, tequila and lame stuff like that :D. I’m planning to make a full-time party out of this trip. The plane tickets will be ready next week, I already bought my travel bag and I’m planning to buy some fine tequila and shot many photos. We’re planning to make an interview with a great voice actor who’s the man behind some great works like Camp Lazlo, KND and Ben 10 from Cartoon Network, among other amazing jobs, like being the voice of Colin Farrell in Alexander (the director’s cut is a real piece of sugar)… yummy.
