happy thanksgiving everyone! today has been another great family day. i wish katie could’ve been here, but i’m sure she’s having a good time with all those mountain folk up at hume.
i slept in again! woo hoo! waking up around 10 without an alarm sure beats the usual beeping at 6 every morning. we went to a 12 o’clock showing of the polar express. so great. its one of our families favorite story books, we read it every christmas eve as a family. the movie was great but i also spent a lot of time watching my brother watch the movie. so cute. he was so into it.
after the movie we went across the street to mimi’s cafe for lunch/dinner. we got soooo much food. and they were so fast. it was perfect. and they gave us so much that we will have left overs for the next couple of days. i didn’t even touch my dessert until like an hour ago. yumm. yumm with two M’s is better than just one.
we came home and were planning on maybe going out again and finding an adventure but chris got really tired (and a bit cranky) so we stayed here. we watched a charlie brown thanksgiving and built some sort of crazy tower with marshmallows (“kinda looks like weird eggs, kinda looks like weird eggs...”) and toothpicks. later we’ll watch harry potter 3 (!!!).
last night i had a dream that someone was outside throwing rocks at my window to wake me up. when i was littler i always imagined that someday i’d have a room up high and that when i did my prince charming (or whoever i had a crush on at the time) would come and confess his love to me ina romeo and juliet type setting. well i’ve lived here with my balcony for like 9 years or something and nothing. the closest i got was me and my best friend in high school actually reading the balcony scene from romeo and juliet to each other with me up here and her down below. haha that was funny. my neighbors thought we were nuts. they were right. anyway, besides that, what a waste of a balcony. anyway, back to the dream, the rocks against my window woke me up and i got out of bed. i grabbed a jacket so i could go outside without being all scandalous. when i got to my sliding glass door it wouldn’t budge. i tried the lock both up and down but it wasn’t moving at all. it was terrible. so i woke up and never got to see who was down below. bummer. maybe tonight i should leave the door unlocked.
i was going to add some pictures but photobucket is taking about a year and a half... if i wait that long i know i'll miss harry potter and that's not something i'm willing to sacrifice. perhaps they'll be added later.
