So a little bit of an update here
Yesterday a tornado touched down a few miles from my house. It was a strong F1 they said. If anyone who doesn't live near me knows where the Galleria Mall is, it touched basically right there, on Walden Avenue and ran down about 2 miles sound between Harlem and Union roads, before it went in and then touched down againnear Como Park Blvd and went even more south ending just about at Lossen, which is about about a mile or 2 from my house. The damage wasn't too bad I guess, coulda been worse. A semi fell and got bent over the median on the I-90, another fell over against a brand new warehouse, and that warehouse's roof got a little torn up. A construction trailor got lifted and thrown into the middle of Walden Avenue ( a major major street), with a person in it, a few trailor homes were damaged, a small plaza got its roof partially torn off, and several trees were uprooted, and a bunch of windows in the area blown out. My restaurant got some damage too. Some paint and wood fom the roof was chipped off and it looks really decreped now lol.
The footage and pictures were really amazing. It's also amazing that no other cars were lifted, just semis, and that only one person was injured. But wow, in Cheektowaga, NY. Who'd a thunk? 20 years ago it happened though too. Lifted a roof right off a restuarant I like too.
I drove over there to survey the damage for myself. I had to go to doggie school, like right where it was. I saw the plaza's roof all torn up, the trees down, and stuff, and a lot of debris on lawns. But it seriously could have been so much worse.
Where was I when it happened?
Driving in it. Okay, not quite, but when the storm moved south, after the tornado, it went to Orchard Park, which is wheer I was just leaving from visiting my Grandma from the nursing home. Torrential rain, constant lightning and thunder, crappy driving, no hail luckily.
So that was that.
In other news, we finally sold the Razberiflame. I no longer have my first car. It went to a 16 year old girl who just got her license, almost just like me when I got it. I hope it treats her well. Now, that parking spot in the driveway is mine!
Ummm, what else? PIRATES soon. Plans?
I had my first walkout at work today. The freaking pizza dude forgot to put in the pizza when he kept telling me it was almost done. I didn't even get a tip for the garden salads I personally made for the couple. I am so pissed at that kid.
Nancy, what's going on the 4th?
