Krabi day 1

Apr 25, 2008 11:23

Duo decided to dump yandao wannabe and engage on a duo tour.
Couldnt get a direct flight to krabi cause the trip was so impromptu.... had to fly to phuket and do a 2hours taxi transfer.
When we reached the reception, ash asked what have we gotten ourselves into?
The reception office sits in the middle of the pond and it was surrounded with remains of a somewhat deserted village.
Nothing like what I've saw when the reservation was done.
The friendly receptionist warmly informed us that this is the mainland reception and not to worry cause hotel is not here.
Probably seen too many puzzled and concerned tourists. haha
We were transfered to the harbour where the speedboat was ready after that.
While walking on the beach, the bellboy was grinning ' hehehe..sir..shoes wet....take off'.
I didnt get what he meant until i got close enough to the boat..the speedboat couldnt get close enough to the beach so we had to jump into the water.
Ash took off her sandals and dumped me behind struggling with my socks and shoes...and grumbling abt the weird choice since nothing was mentioned about getting wet.
Only a couple of minutes later, all the grouchness was swallowed back :)
We were dropped on a floating walking pontoon about 200 metres to the hotel and from afar it was already a breathtaking view.
The hotel sits on its private bay blessed with an amazing backdrop of a mountain creating almost an exclusive environment to its guests.
We were drove to our room in one of those mini golf mobile with me looking like anidiot with jeans half rolled out and my shoes and socks falling out while wizzing past all the honeymooners.
Room is pretty spacious. Conceptualized to balinese style. Private sunbeds in da room with ash mucking ard with the electronic blinds like a lil kid :-P
Reservation came with club priviledge and am still stuffing ourselves with cakes and muffins like asian tourists right after breakkies.
Pretty interesting experience so far :)
Everything was picture perfect except for the weather.
Hope the sun clears up a lil toomorrow on our way to phi phi island.
Off for some kayaking!
