THE $20 NOTE - SOMETIMES WE JUST NEED TO BE REMINDED

A famous motivational speaker once began a seminar by holding up a $20 note and asked, "Who wants this $20?"

Many hands raised up.

He then said, "I'm going to give this to one of you, but let me first do something."

He then crushed and crumpled the $20 note and asked again, "Who still wants this $20?"

Still, many hands raised up.

"Well then," he said, "What about this?"

This time, he dropped the $20 note on the floor, grinded on it with his foot until the dirt was all over the note, picked it up and asked yet again, "Who still wants this $20?"

Nevertheless, there are still many hands up in the air.

The speaker smiled, and proceeded to say :

"No matter if the $20 is new, crumpled, or even trampled on, you will still want this $20 because the value of this note does not change. Dirty or clean, crumpled or creased, it is still worth $20.

Likewise, each and every one of you is like this $20 note. No matter what has happened or what will happen or what circumstances made you, your value will never change. You do not become worthless just because you have been crushed, crumpled or trampled under someone else's feet.

Remember - You are what you are worth."
