photos update
I've been super busy lately - but felt like sharing a couple photos :)
Amber had her 1st cello concert which went very well. She loved being onstage!

We've had a new addition to our home too a few weeks back - a 3 year old Pekingese by the name of Casey.
Casey was my husband's grandmother's dog, but when dementia took her mind and the state decided she was unfit to live alone, Casey was left behind at her house for a few weeks while family "stopped in to feed him". . . we decided we would help, if anything, by fostering him. Then we came to find Casey had a bite history and isn't really a dog that can be placed through rescue or a shelter facility. So we kept him. He has his moments, but he's fit in well enough and we are working with him every day to get him acclimated to things he's never done or seen. But here he is:

And the daughters are getting bigger and bolder everyday... here's the most recent photos of them:

I've been really busy with the new job and adjusting to the schedule. I'm pretty happy there, though it is much more difficult than I can even begin to explain. From seeing various sick/hurt/dying/dead animals to dealing with the extreme grief of the owners, it's hard in an emotional way sometimes. It's an emergency, so what we usually see are severe cases - though I never want to get 'used to' death so to speak, I think it is something I'll adjust to.
