Today was a good day.
We started the day going to the store and buying a bunch of dog toys and treats.... not for our dogs though. We then bought a big gift bag and wrote on the tag "To our Sweethearts at the Humane Society" and we loaded the bag with all kinds of squeakers and plushies and rope tugs and treats and took it along with some paper towels, down to the Humane Society of Western PA. It was more than sad in there this time around. They are so inundated with bunnies right now - hundreds of them! :( That and pit bulls... and more were coming in. *sigh*
After we left the shelter we went to the Aviary to lift spirits... my kids made friends with this Victoria Crowned Pigeon, but when he decided to do a mating dance for them, I told them that we had to move along.
