"Hello Pickle"
This is one of the things I say to Calliope all the time, as it is something I wouldn't mind her saying back.
"Hello Pickle" is from Shaun of the Dead and I've been saying this to my lil bird for the last 2 weeks since she walked in the door.
She flies now... yup... to tops of doors and curtain rods and shelves.
She's clumsy, knocks things down, tries to rip things up, etc.
This morning she was flying around and was sitting atop her night-time cage in our bedroom and she was vocalizing... "Caaw. caaaw. curr.. cawoo..gurrcaww...HELLO" she said. It was a crunchy sounding hello, but it was a hello.
I LOL'd... in disbelief. It was an obvious fluke, but I will continue to encourage her vocalizations.
I thought 6 weeks was WAY too young to even trying to mimic... she is a freakin smart bird.
Now. Breakfast for me!!!
