to quote myself from last year:

christmas was shit
that is all.
with every year getting worse than the prior.
So for christmas, my insurance decided to be complete and utter dicks and total my car instead of fixing it (an entire month after my accident, no less), and are saying they'll give me $4200 for it. $500 deductable puts me at $3800.
I had a $6000 car. So basically, I'm screwed.
So, for the past month I haven't had transportation to get anywhere aside from to and from work. It's been driving me quite crazy.
So... Christmas day itself. Didn't feel like Christmas at all aside from watching people get stuff. Didn't help much that I couldn't go anywhere, stuck in the house due to no buses running.. and everywhere was closed anyways. Sigh.
The whole 'friends and family' thing doesn't really make things much better, couldn't get out to visit anybody, and the phone didn't ring once yesterday with anybody wishing me a happy day or anything.
on the bright side, I did get paid holiday time for yesterday.
