Something about Snow White

Today I held a human heart in my hands. It was about the size of a fist, like they say healthy hearts are supposed to be. The vessels protruding from the top were huge, and it was hard to imagine that this small organ pumped all the blood. All of it. Everywhere. Over and over and over again.

Also, massive blood clots are absolutely the most disgusting thing I have encountered thus far in anatomy. And I encountered them many times today. Luckily, the next thing we do is the lungs, and there should be significantly fewer blood clots there.

Additionally, the almost-roommate backed out today. I really thought she was going to live with me (in fact, she emailed me this morning saying she would), but she changed her mind and decided to live with her parents. I'm frustrated and worried that I'll end up living with someone I don't like. It wouldn't be the end of the world (I've clearly done it before), but I'd rather find someone good. We'll see.
