But then Kyouko starts to think about how the girl turns up for every patrol day after day, and she can't help but start to wonder.
Things escalate from there. They end up trading life stories, Kyouko offers Madoka some biscuits, and at the end...
"Let's keep being friends!"

Series: Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Characters/pairings: Kyuubey
Rating: PG
Content Notes: Kyuubey thinks about the nature of magic girls. Spoilers for episode 9 and alien ways of thinking.
As a being that doesn't have emotions at the individual level, Kyuubey finds magic girls fascinating. That a single being can have enough hope to fuel an entire transformation, and yet is unable to harness this without assistance, strikes Kyuubey as very strange. He would have thought they would have been able to uncover this potential on their own.
Perhaps then they would not fall so spectacularly, like flowers cut down at the height of their prime. But Kyuubey supposes it makes sense. If the hope of humans brings them to dizzing heights, they have to fall just as fast.
