HALFWAY POINT for the TAR CHALLENGE. By now you should know what the TAR Challenge is about:
tenebris, Aino (
hallowd) and Ray pit themselves against the ARDOUS TASK of writing a fixed number of words a week! Every week, we bring to you the week's thrilling action in a nice summary.
Words for the week: 1,384 words, meaning an average of about 230 words a day.
No of days skivved: ... 3???
The above word count is impressive because it was in spite of me skivving off not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES this week, including today! Maybe my word count of 100 is a tad low-lying... Emotional upheaval still going on, but what makes things worse is that I've started writing at work again. This confuses my muse and results in funny things like minute-style fic... I wish I had a separate muse for work and for fic!
Stories worked on: 3
As usual, I worked on Lunar Eclipse, aka the continuation of
Three-Quarters of a Dark Moon. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the part I'm working on and release some parts for you all to see!
I also worked on the
Fraccion!verse, as I'm sure you all have noticed.
The surprise contender however, which I wrote 500 over words that I can't post publicly until I get the go-ahead, was a dorky PWP that I wrote last Sunday. This sounds like an occasion for Don Kanoji. BWOOHAHAHAHA!
No of stories released to public: 1
The first set of the Fraccion!verse snippets is out. Please kindly leave me some comments on the direction.
No of NEW bunnies since the beginning of this challenge: 5
I thought this was of note since the bunnies have been particularly active lately, though there is no possible way I'll get around to all of them. As you can see below:
1) BLEACH HORROR - A product of a dream I had way back and too many Asian horror movies. I've always wanted to read a Bleach story where Hollows are actually frightening, but it's a tad hard to do when a lot of the unknown is taken out. Which is why I reverted back to Asian horror movies: a lot of those have to do with the mental/emotional ghosts in a person's head and less to do with the actual physical ghost. ALTHOUGH TYPING THAT JUST GAVE ME THE CHILLS.
If this happens it's likely that it'll be a post-Winter War thing. which should be a fun thing to wing.
2)Star Trek fic, in which the GQMF characters in the movie... are actually GQMF! - C'MON the whole shininess of the movie and all the photoshoots that the actors have done are practically begging for it! Can't you imagine Kirk posing for the cover of a GQ magazine... JUST BECAUSE HE CAN? Or Spock exploding panties the galaxy over with his intent gaze? Hell, even Uhura can get in on the action with those LEGS.
That having been said, someone else write this please. (
kasuchi? :3?)
3) IchiRukiRen go stir crazy in HM, fondly dubbed by Aino as the DESERT RANGERS verse - This idea came from a fic summary that popped up in my head all of a sudden: "Ichigo couldn't get away fast enough. He couldn't feel that way about both Renji and Rukia... could he? No, this was like Stockholm's syndrome or something. Yeah, definitely Stockholm's."
And now the context! Stuck indefinitely in Hueco Mundo, the shinigami and their allies split into smaller groups and await rescue. Ichigo, Rukia and Renji are in one group. However, endless days of doing nothing but wait for rescue results in some very strange behaviour and revelations...
This one I may write, if I stop skivving off and/or the noisier bunnies stop bothering me.
4) IchiRuki = Instinctive Trust, or how to write an IchiRuki AR - this one was prompted by me reading too many Alternate Reality (AR) fics where the definite characteristic of the IchiRuki relationship is bickering. While I love IchiRuki bickering, I don't think that's the sole thing that will carry over to IchiRuki being corporates, or vampires, or superstars! To me, it should be INSTINCTIVE TRUST that carries over to any new reality where Ichigo and Rukia are not shinigami. The type of trust that makes Ichigo let Rukia stab him with a SWORD for a plan that may not work.
Currently what I have specced out for this is a reverse of the movie Duplicity (yes it's the Julia Roberts show). Instead of a story where the characters get off on mutual distrust, Ichigo and Rukia hold on to their mutual trust in a distrusting world. But that's all I have so far.
5) PWP, the contents of which cannot be revealed until I get the go-ahead. =D
