himawari requested fic for the movie Star Trek and of course I have to deliver. This is an extremely limited cross-section, given that it comes mostly from the first few pages of a set of delicious bookmarks that I haven't worked my way through yet and that there is a surprising amount of fic for a movie that is WEEKS OLD. Though fandom is arguably older. I might finish. Eventually. XD

I didn't come out of the movie shipping this, but DAMN is there some really good fic for this out there. So much so that when they break up in Kirk/Spock fic it makes me come up in hives. HIVES. So I shall solely rec fic for this ship.
Firstly, everything and anything by mekosuchinae. She writes both lovely drama and character pieces and humour, and I will never be able to get Spock reading romance novels out of my head. GOT YOUR ATTENTION NOW? GO READ.

Spock/Uhura in the context of the end of the show. I love how it bounces the pairing off the other characters to show how Spock and Uhura ended up together, (even though I think they got together way earlier, but!) making this a beautiful fic.
