-4 degrees.

Last night in -4 degree weather 8 of us gathered to play 2 $20 tournaments.
1st game i got 3rd, got my money back.
2nd game was out...4th maybe? not sure. But before i knew i was pretty drunk and struggled to stand straight. i hate when that happens because i woke up at almost noon today.
went to bagel boy for a bagel sandwich then a cafe mocha at starbucks, ahhh.
But i found that the coffee in my kitchen is farrr better than what they brew at starbucks!
I got it from a guy who works for this company in colorado called

www.theunseenbean.com

for all you coffee buffs out there, THIS IS A MUST! Not only is the guy blind but he's also a million other things and he roasts the coffee himself. You can order it online and i assure you you won't be disappointed.

meanwhile, this morning was interesting, the argus leader has informed me that a state senate panel has passed a law BANNING ABORTION in the state of south dakota. This means that no doctor can legally perform abortions now. They claim that the reason they are doing this is because they want the supreme court to readdress this issue and rule on it.
they also decided that women who were victims of rape or incest would not have special priviledges to get abortions. "IT DOESNT MATTER HOW YOU CONCEIVED...the point is that you cannot deny the basic human right to life"
my feelings are this:

you cannot tell a woman what to do with her body. You cannot FORCE a woman to have a kid. THATS RIDICULOUS. that is what i call moral legislation. i'm really appalled that i live in this state. i'm sick to my stomach right now. i'm not saying that i think abortions are pleasant or a means of birth control, etc. i have my own opinions about abortion but ijust know that you cannot FORCE someone to have a baby against their will.
what happened to women's right to decide what she wants to do with her body? i mean since technically it was her cells that created this... she should ultimately have a right to decide what to do until the baby gets his/her own social security number and becomes an official citizen of the united states. but as long as the baby doesn't have a social security number, the baby technically does not exist as a citizen and therefore does not deserve any protection under the law.

i also read that they are trying to crack down on online betting (poker and sports are two of my faves)... i'm really getting sick of the US. but i'd rather live here than other countries. i wonder how they are going to control the internet because really honestly they can't. not only that but most online betting sites originate in canada where the US gov't has no jurisdiction. THANK GOD FOR THAT.
and if there are millions of americans betting online etc, then i think its pretty safe to say that our politicians might want to avoid detrementing our wishes if they want †ø be reelected.

speaking of poker, i got an emåil from the chair of the deaf world poker tourney in LV, he didn't tell me how many ppl have already registered so i am guessing the number is low....but he did tell me that based on 300 entries (which he is confident will come) the prize pool will be 27,000. I'll post excerpts from his email in my blog tonite. he was full of blonde jokes also. which is to be expected. he also told me that there will be 4 affiliated poker tourneys this year : 2 in atlantic city, ¡ in foxwoods and 1 in florida.
