why is everyone blaming bush for Katrina?!
i'm not a bush fan myself, even though i'm a staunch moderate republican.
but THIS IS STUPID!
first of all, what the hell is state soveriegnty (sp?)! Why should the federal government bear all the responsibility and blame when it WAS THE STATE'S FAULT for IGNORING the potential destruction. A retired louisiana engineer stated that he warned the city and state governments that the levees were not high enough and not strong enough and could be potential devastation for the city should the "big one" hit. WELL THE BIG ONE HIT!
and the governer and the mayor and all government officials in engineering department dating back to 1950 are to blame! THEY ARE THE ONES WHO WERE ENTRUSTED with the responsibility of protecting the city.
THEY FAILED! the state SUCKS. besides, new orleans was already 80% shithole before the hurricane hit. In fact, they call louisiana the WELFARE STATE. imagine that. its almost like the destruction of the city will SAVE us money on welfare taxes.
the irony of mother nature is this:
the tsunami hit indonesia the hardest...indonesia has the highest rate of pedophilia in the world.
the hurricane hit louisiana the hardest...louisiana has the highest incest rate in the nation.
coincidence? besides...didn't anyone read that new orleans was already SINKING!!!! it was only a matter of time before it would go under.
