I watched the new BBC Sherlock Holmes last night. Very interesting. The transition to the 21st century was well handled, I thought, retaining much of the character of Holmes and Watson and expanding on it.
Watson's solution was... unexpected, but logical given the situation.
Somebody has been looking at sub-text, given the number of references to their relationship. Smiled at Watson's emphatic denial that he * wasn't* Holmes' date.
The plot was bizarre, but then so were the original stories. The Watson was good, and I think the Holmes is too.
Not sure it'll replace the Jeremy Brett version for me, but I'll certain watch the next two eps.
