Try taking Psych 101 at 8am with a professor that never changes the tone of his voice and answers his own questions. I sat directly in front of him and still could not keep my eyes from rolling into the back of my head and one time I did a headdesk (slid of my arm and boom, was wide awake for a few minutes after that LOL) I had to bring a tape recorder after the first few classes just to get the last half of class lecture.
