Doing my part for the Austin area water table
So yesterday it rained for about an hour from 2:30pm onwards. Today should have more rain. I promise my friends in the southwest that If Rayne is there visiting , she'll bring rain with her. As a rule, this is much appreciated but in the short term it can be inconvenient for any planned excursions ;-). I consider it my gift to Austin for the warm temps- 66F or 19C right now- and mostly sunny afternoons and evenings.
Did a bit of work at Gina's yesterday, quit painting the 1st section of fence when I ran out of paint. Moved on to yard work 'cause the very large and very fertile trees have been doing the spring fling wild thing in Gina's absence. I am happy to report that the upstairs deck, the spiral staircase, the front path and the driveway are now cleared (only briefly no doubt) of evidence of the tree bacchanalia. We headed out and the skys opened up.It was about 2.5 hours after I finished painting so hopefully the fence paint was dry enough to survive the downpour, that is if it even rained up at Gina's-- weather patterns are weird around here. Today is overcast so we are doing laundry, oh oh so exciting and shall shortly depart for last minute shopping for the cruise. Have already picked up books for lounging by the pool/ocean Yah.
