Damn Blue Hands! They just have to all die. Poor River, at least she didn't shoot herself in the head. Sigh....now she won't be able to fight though. Poor Jayne (and Mal and Zoe) will have to handle it all now. Can't wait to see what's next.

I guess the Academy didn't get the memo about the warrants being revoked, huh? Then again, I don't think the people behind the Academy were caring much about Alliance law or what could get the govt. in a lot of hot water when they were experimenting on River and any other young prodigies.

I really feel for River though, what with all the vague tension building up all Sith-like before "POW!"...the danger reveals itself to be the Hands of Blue, back again to attempt River's removal from Serenity :(

Really hope you have a spectacular fight scene to make up for this cliffhanger, SFT ;)

Oh my god! So now not only is River shot but the DOCTOR is unconscious and Blue Hands are somewhere in the vicinity! Oh, and they're land-locked. Man, you sure know how to kick the drama up about a thousand notches, don't you? lol

Aaagh! I got a terrible feeling when that blankety-blank dock owner mentioned 'bride price' in the previous chapter, and now it looks like River's figured out her role in those machinations.
