Great job. I wasn't sure I was up for reading a 7,000 word chapter, but I simply devoured this. Interesting twist; having all the crew have bounties on their heads. And I loved the Rayne stuff. Made me swoon. *sighs* And totally believable to have Jayne blame River for everything that happened.

Okay, you already know all of the things I love about this chapter so I'm just going to ask--How's it feel to finally have the super chapter posted?! :)

I saw a typo that I missed before. When Zoe is leaving the mess, it says a "hurt looked crossed her face" instead of "hurt look."

Had a dream last night that you sent me chapter 2, which confused the heck out of me since 6 just went up. lol.

It feels awesome and also a bit daunting, because we both know I'm nowhere NEAR done with this story and it passed the 16,000 word mark with this chapter. So....how long is this thing going to be? Lol! I'm already working on Chapter 7 and 7 KINDA looks like a 2. Maybe THAT'S what you were dreaming about. Lol. Anyway, I'm glad to see it up, finally. I'm proud of this chapter.

Love the moment between River and Jayne, naturally. The description of the tendrils and the cord was awesome!!!

I'm absolutely in love with this story! I love how Jayne still has his edge, it's very in character and hard to find in a lot of Rayne stories.

I'm waiting eagerly for the next chapter!

Thank you! I am in the middle of chapter 7 as we speak. I had to go back and reread the whole thing, because I kind of lost my train of thought. Lol. I will be sending it to my beta next week, so you should see it soon. And thanks for commenting, it means a lot, really.
