Author Note: I recently discover a love for 100 word (exactly) drabbles as I'm too lazy to do whole fics.
It's dinner when the thought occurs to him. He doesn't know how or why or when, but he's pretty sure he loves the crazy girl.
A slow motion from across the table draws his gaze from his plate. River is looking at him, head cocked to the side and brows furrowed in thought. He has enough time to think 'Oh, gose.' before she starts giggling, the laughter peeling out of her like an over-enthusiastic terrier with a silver bell.
“What’s got you so gigglesome?” Mal asks.
“Jayne loves me.” she sing-songs for the whole crew to hear.
Jayne groans, chagrined.
