Bedside Manner - an October Challenge drabble.
It's a bit late but this was supposed to be my entry for the October challenge(and my first post here). I don't think it's all that good, the prompt, Bedside Manner, was more suited to Tamcest then a Rayne fic. But whatever, here's my attempt:

He cares for her, his beloved river. He just can’t show it. He does not have the bedside manner of her brother. He tries to calm her during her episodes but only succeeds in making it worse and angering her brother. He just wishes he had the bedside manner to help her out. His gruff mannerisms never mattered when he was a mercenary. But now the most important thing in his life is being hindered by the same tough attitude that he once took pride in. He just wishes he had the same bedside manner as her brother.
