Man I haven't written a journla post in forever - but seeing as I cant get in touch with my sis...I figure at least if she's interested she can read what I've been doing here! So...I've been in New Zealand for nearly two weeks on the GLobal Volunteer Network office internship. I'm loving it here and never want to leave.I'd forgotten how much in love with Wellington I am and am now thinking very hard as to the idea of doing some study or work to stay in the country. Lots of ideas, lots of possibilities - but I'm not good at mulling over things - so I',m feeling a bit stressed at the minute coming up with plans and...assessing things! I'm actually going to kill some possums today at East Harbour regional park with the vollies - a nice break from sitting in the office all day! I'm not cut out for an office job, thats for sure - and this is a geat office...with a ping pong table, and great people! I've been working on the resource packs for the website and I finally finished them yesterday (you can find them here...
http://www.volunteer.org.nz/alaska/...not too many are up yet but if you go to a few of the programs (like china/el salvador...) and click on resource pack and fact sheet on the left hand link options..I did those pages). So I've been researching and writing stuff for a week and a half and i enjoyed it - though now I have nothing much to do. They have a new fiji program starting so I bet I'll be involved in putting all the packs together and stuff.
Toby isnt up yet and he has to pick the vounteers up in 5 minutes - hmmm...ok..he's up now I knocked on his door!
I don't know what to do about living in NZ. I mean, I want to live here - but I dont know which way to go to sort out my visa issues. I could go and do a degre in early childhod education - so that I am guaranteed a job (its a crucially needed job) afterwards..but I have no interest in teaching really, I could do a degree in something musicy..
oh dmn, gotta go get ready! i shall continue this later!
