I could be wrong, but doesn't emotional abuse require some kind of negative action? You know, like calling someone names, trying to make them feel worthless/useless? As far as I know, trying to help someone, asking them for advice, and being there when they need a second opinion doesn't quite qualify. On the other hand, casting someone off when they desperately need you...that sounds an awful lot like emotional abuse. Anyone?
