The Da Vinci Code Movie

I’m soo bloody pissed right now.
Back then [about a year ago], when the news that The Da Vinci Code will have a movie version reached my ears for the very first time, I was ecstatic that I even made a post about it in LJ.
As the days passed, I waited patiently for its opening while ignoring the protests for it to be banned etc. and silently cursing the close-minded protesters as well.
When the day arrived for its premiere, I was soooooo thrilled because despite the loads of objections and criticisms fired upon it by the ‘conservatives’ in this damn country, it will still be hitting the big screens. But then...there’s a catch… it’s bloody rated R18!!!! What the f*ck???!!!!
Did you hear/read what I just said?? It’s bloody R18!! Meaning: I CAN’T WATCH IT cos I’m NOT 18 yet. GRRR!!! What frustrates me also is that I can’t pretend to be 18 cos no matter how hard I try, I don’t look one and I don’t have a fake id.
And what angers me the most is the fact that in China, a country who’s very particular about religious and supernatural themed movies, it’s rated as General Admission… G!!!! ARRGGHH!! To think they’re particular.
In the US, it’s only rated PG or PG-13.. I think. Whatever. At least people my age can watch it there!
Why is it R18??!!! It’s not porn or whatever. And besides I bloody READ it and so does a lot of people under 18 also!! So, I ask again, WHY????!!!

Augh! How I hate those freakin’ conservatives and I hate where I am right now.
Nonetheless, my only solace at the moment is piracy. *evil smile* No one can stop me. All I have to do is grab a pirated DVD copy [cos an original copy is obviously not yet in the market] and voila! I can watch it and the same goes for all the underage lot as well. *evil smile widens*
