Run
2.7168 miles
33 [ish] minutes

Missed a turn and wound up knocking a quarter mile off what should have been a 3 mile run, but it’s still a big increase from yesterdays run. Probably not more than two minutes or so of walking and only when I needed to get a sip of water. I’m not good at remembering to start a timer or anything like that. I’m not really concerned about time anyway, but it will be a good measure for later on when I’m getting faster and I don’t feel like I am.

I think just about every part of me was sore this morning, my quads, certainly, my hamstrings, calfs, hips and my abs, all sore. The first part of the run was torture, I remember that from my last marathon, the first couple of minutes is always awful. I also remember from before that after a while you’re just miserable and it’s a mental game and your body is just along for the ride. Sorry folks, I don’t get a runners high. I hate it. It just sucks. But I want to do a marathon in under 5 hours like I promised myself last time.

I’m going to do the Wii EA Active game, shower and hit the couch and not move again until bedtime. At least that’s the plan.

Tomorrow: 1.5 miles again. This time I’ll try to remember to time it and not wimp out by walking that little bit. I think I’ll bring my iTouch, because neither Mike nor Tori seem to be talkers while running and that’s what I loved about my marathon training group in Orlando, we were like a social club that just happened to be running at the same time.

118 more work outs to go. 6 months, 3 weeks & 6 days until the Disney Marathon!
