Eventually the cramps got so bad, there was nothing Ray could do but curl up in bed and try to sleep it off.
At some point the pain spiked so bad that Ray gave a little moan and passed out, curled so tight it was like rigamortus had set in.
But the pain, in it's own way, was a good sign. It was his body and his mutation working to realign themselves back to normal. It probably would have been easier -- and a lot less painful -- had he just removed the damned inhibitor, however.
